History
Werga Tools was founded in 1975 in Hilden. Werga was specialised in importing and marketing of garden tools and garden accessories. Due to its sales Werga tools was one of the leading companies in its industry.
In 1998 the Finnish Fiskars Corporation acquired all the shares of the German Werga GmbH.
Under the name Fiskars GmbH business activities with the two complementary product assortments were combined and pursued.
After the acquisition of Ebert Design GmbH & Co. KG in 2000, all German business activities were bundled in Herford.
Today Herford is the central administration, logistic and production facility for Fiskars activities..
